This letter is being sent home with 8th grade students today in an envelope addressed to parents that also includes tickets for Last Assembly.

Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s) of Grade 8 Students:

The Grade 8 Last Assembly will be held on Monday, June 14th, in the Cobb Hall Gymnasium at Mattanawcook Junior High School. There will be two sessions in order to accommodate as many family members as possible while maintaining physical distance between family groups. Masks will be required for all in attendance due to the Maine Department of Education and CDC guidelines for schools, which are currently different from other public settings.

12:30pm: Mrs. Cole’s and Mr. White’s homerooms 

2:00pm: Mr. Brown’s and Ms. Ratledge’s homerooms 

Due to limited seating, we use tickets for last assembly.  Your grade 8 student received four tickets today.  If your student has two custodial parents, each of those parents will receive two tickets. We do not anticipate having additional tickets available. Seating for families will be randomly assigned and reserved, and doors will be opened 15 minutes prior to the Last Assembly time. If any family member will require seating to accommodate a wheelchair, please contact the office at 794-8935 by June 9th.

Grades 7-11 students will be dismissed at 12:00 on June 14th. Eighth grade students in Mrs. Cole’s and Mr. White’s homerooms can remain at school or should return at 12:15pm, and those in Mr. Brown’s and Ms. Ratledge’s homerooms should return to school at 1:45pm.
