Important Information Regarding Remote Learning

9-10-20

Dear Parents,

As you know, RSU 67 has developed three educational plans for reopening school during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time of this letter, the school board has voted to reopen in a full in-person manner with the availability for families to opt for remote learning for their child rather than in-person instruction. Given the choice of remote learning and the potential that the district may need to move to a hybrid or full remote learning model, your child will be participating in some distance learning over a video conferencing platform, such as ZOOM.  Because many of these sessions will likely include other children as well, it is very important that you not record any of these sessions without specific, written permission of the school department.  It is also important that you not in any manner re-publish any audio or visual images from any of these class sessions.  We are doing our very best to ensure the privacy of all those involved in the classes, and this is an important part of that effort.

If you have any questions at all about this, please contact me.  Please be in touch with your child’s teacher if you have any difficulty with the online platform.

Sincerely,

Jean Skorapa
