Mattanawcook Jr. High School

8th graders will be visiting MA on Thursday, 5/20/21, to tour the building in two shifts between 1:00pm and 2:00pm. 

We are in the process of planning last assembly for 8th graders and their families while following the covid-19 guidelines. The plan is to have an assembly on June 14th in the MJHS Cobb Hall gymnasium. We expect to have two sessions with half of the class in each session in order to have space to give each family tickets to attend. The details of which groups at which time, length of the assembly, and the number of tickets are being worked out based on spacing requirements. Masks will be required for attendees. (We anticipate the earliest session could begin at 12:30pm, and that a second group would likely begin at 2:00pm, but those details are not final.)

Based on 8th grader input, we are not planning a last dance. Instead, we are planning a favorite fest activities day for them during the school day.
