Dear R.S.U. No. 67 Staff, Parents, and Community Members:

During the past weeks we have seen the very best and the very worst in humanity.  The tragic death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last month and subsequent events are disturbing reminders that racism remains in our country.  R.S.U. No. 67 stands against injustices such as those that led to Mr. Floyd’s death.

As images and discussions flood the airwaves and social media, children may feel confused or scared as they attempt to make sense of what they are seeing and hearing.  They will be looking to adults in their lives to help them develop meaning and guarantee safety.  Below you will find a few resources that may help you as you have conversations with your child.

As a school department, we remain deeply committed to ensuring equity, dignity, and inclusion for all members of our school community.  We will continue to work within our schools and alongside our community members to end discrimination and racial intolerance in any form.
