Matthew Arsenault Appointed Principal of Mattanawcook Academy
R.S.U. No. 67 is pleased to announce that Mr. Matthew Arsenault has been appointed as Principal of Mattanawcook Academy beginning July 1, 2020. Mr. Arsenault received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education with a Minor in Health and Special Education from the University of Maine in 1998. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters in degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Maine in 2007 and is currently enrolled in a Certificate of Advanced Study Program in Educational Leadership.
Mr. Arsenault began his career in education as an Educational Technician lll and coach. He then worked as a Health and Physical Education Teacher with students with disabilities at the Old Town Regional School for ten years. For the past ten years he has served as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Administrator at Central High School in Corinth, Maine. Mr. Arsenault replaces Henry Pietras who is retiring after 20 years as Principal of Mattanawcook Academy.
