Fleet Mechanic – Full-time
RSU No. 67 has an immediate opening for a fleet mechanic. This is a year-round position with benefits. Pay is based on experience. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the district's bus, truck, and van fleet. The successful candidate must be team-oriented and have high safety standards.
Qualifications:
Technical degree or significant successful work experience associated with a combination of heavy equipment, diesel mechanics, welding technology, and machine tool technology.
A minimum of two years’ experience as an automotive mechanic; bus experience preferred.
Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
A state inspection license for school buses will be required within one year of employment.
A School Bus Driver license will be required within one year of employment.
State of Maine Department of Education CHRC certificate.
