Dr. Paul Austin Appointed Director of Special Education for R.S.U. No. 67

R.S.U. No. 67 is pleased to welcome Dr. Paul Austin as the Director of Special Education for R.S.U. No. 67.  Dr. Austin holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Public Policy and Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Maine, a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from the University of Maine at Orono, a Master’s of Science degree in School Psychology from the University of Southern Maine, and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Maine at Farmington.

Dr. Austin has spent over thirty years in education including twenty years as a school administrator.  His administrative positions include Director of Student Services in Brunswick, Special Education/Section 504 Coordinator in M.S.A.D. 54, Assistant Superintendent of Union 74, and Superintendent of R.S.U. No. 3.  He is currently the Superintendent of Schools for Hingham Public Schools in Massachusetts.

Dr. Austin replaces Gay McDonald who is leaving R.S.U. No. 67 to become the Executive Director of the Maine Administrators of Services for Children with Disabilities (MADSEC).
