Ella P. Burr School

Ella P Burr is excited to be participating in the Competitive Track of WinterKids this year! One school from each county in Maine were selected to compete in this year's WinterKids. EPB is proud to represent our county as we compete for the chance to win $5000!

 Students at EPB will be completing daily events over the next 4 weeks. These events range from creating an art piece using a "bird's eye view" perspective, to making snow angels with friends. We will be posting updates and photos on our Ella P Burr Facebook page. You can also follow along on the WinterKids website for complete updates and standings each week. 

The WinterKids Story 

WinterKids began in 1997 as part of the Ski Maine Association with a Learn to Ski program for fifth graders.  With the increasing rates of childhood obesity and the downward trend in physical fitness in Maine and across the country, there was an opportunity to help children and families enjoy healthy and fun outdoor winter lifestyles while nurturing a connection to the natural environment, at home, at school, and in the communities in which they live
