The MJHS math team competed in the spring championship math meet Thursday, May 15th, at the University of Maine.
Only the 8 top scorers for the entire year were able to participate. MJHS competes against Ridgeview, Holbrook, Center Drive, Wagner and Caravel.
The mathletes bringing home awards for the entire season were:
Grade 6:
Ethella Dill and Daxton Averill – top 10
The team of Ethella, Daxton, Kyler Nillson and Gus Mueller came in 3rd for the season
Grade 7:
Mariner Fitch was in the top 10 and Grayson DeLaCruz took 3rd place.
The team of Grayson, Mariner, Dustin Hanscom and Brooke Trask won 2nd place.
Grade 8:
Riley Munster placed 3rd for the season and the team of Riley, Sophia Sweep, William Robertson and Landon
Tash won 3rd place.
Overall, the team of 24 students placed 3rd , falling short in points to Holbrook and Ridgeview.
Mrs. Cole, Mr. Mac and Mrs. Slike would like to congratulate the team on outstanding effort and behavior at the meet. It is truly evident that MJHS students stand out among the rest.
