Traffic Safety:

You may notice an increased police presence at the Junior High during afternoon dismissal between 2-3pm and during morning arrival. Lincoln Police Department is helping us address some traffic safety concerns, such as vehicles passing school buses while lights are flashing, unsafe driving practices and traffic congestion during dismissal. There is no need to be alarmed if you see police officers at the school. They are simply helping to keep our students as safe as possible.

To help protect students who walk home, please do not form a pickup line at the side entrance off Lakeview or use the side entrance when picking up in the afternoon . Instead, park in the gravel beside the softball field on Lincoln Street and have your student walk down to meet you. This is the safest path for students. Students are able to wait in the supervised area at the front of the building and can come down to your vehicle when you arrive. A staff member will be supervising the front of the building until 2:50.

Thank you to Lincoln Police Department for your help and support of student safety!

We know that many of our students and their families are hunters, and we are also aware that Friday, October 23rd is Youth Deer Hunting Day in Maine. We do have a full day of school that day, but if you plan to bring your student hunting instead, we ask that you complete the RSU 67 Waiver of Attendance form so we can plan on and excuse the absence. The form can be found on the district website, printed from the photo attached, or ask your student to bring one home from school. Thank you, and good luck to our youth hunters.

The district will be testing our "Call 'Em All" system on October 8, 2026 at 5:30pm in order to be sure those who should receive a call, text, or email do receive it. Keep in mind that the system send those in waves, so you may receive it several minutes before or after others. If you don't receive it, call the school, 794-8935, and leave a message with your name, phone number/email and details about how you wanted the information but did not receive it so we can look into it. Thank you!
