For MJHS golf, Jacoby Crosby earned top honors at JW Parks in Pittsfield on Tuesday. Jacoby's consistent game prevailed against several quality golfers. JW Parks course superintendent commented on how impressed he was with MJHS's team and looked forward to hosting us again. Way to go MJHS golfers! Other MJHS golfers competing during the match were Grant McIntyre, Cody Wilcox, Tanner Edwards, Isabel Graham and Michaela Windsor-Stone. Additionally, Michael Wortman, Scott Morin, Dustin Hanscom, Arya Atwood, Grayson Del La Cruz, Eric Arthurs, and Sean McNeil competed in a best ball format. GO BOBCATS!

We'd like to thank families and students for your cooperation with our new drop-off location. So far the process appears to be working well, and we have received positive feedback. We have asked students to use the designated walkway that continues from Lakeview Street along the fence through the parking lot and to the entrance closest to drop-off (and the front walkway). The Bobcats football team travelled to Ellsworth this evening to kick off their season. MJHS came away with the exciting 13-6 victory. What a great day; GO BOBCATS!

With temperatures in the high 80s today and throughout the week, please ensure that your student athlete is properly hydrated and brings plenty of water to practices and games. Our coaches will ensure that they are taking frequent water and shade breaks.

There has been a question about MJHS 4th graders being able to ride busses to and from school, and we want to clarify the procedure regarding student transportation. Fourth graders are not considered walkers unless they are in very close proximity to the school and there is agreement with the parents that they may walk.

The MJHS football game originally scheduled at Ellsworth on September 6 will now take place on Tuesday, September 5 at 5:30 p.m. GO BOBCATS!

What happens to a Bobcat when it rains? It gets wet . Due to the weather, football and boy's soccer are cancelled for today, 8/30. Girl's soccer will practice in the gym from 2:30-4.

We hope you are enjoying your summer! But now it's time to think about registering your athlete for upcoming fall sports. 2023-2024 sports registrations are now open for MJHS students. Your student will need a current physical on file before participating. If you have any questions about physicals, please contact Dolly @ 794-8935. Physicals are good for 2 years. A well child check will be accepted as long as it is less than 1 year old. If you registered your student prior to July 24th, you will need to go in and make sure you have chosen MJHS sports. If you have previously signed your student up for Family ID (now called Arbiter Sports), registering them is easy, just login under your email. We do not have access to your personal login information, but there is a "forgot password" button. Stay tuned for more information about fall sports start dates.

MJHS Yearbook Update: We have a few yearbooks available to purchase for $20 each through the end of the day on Wednesday, June 21st. The MJHS office is open 7:00-3:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday if you'd like to stop by and purchase one. Any unsold yearbooks will be sent back to Josten's on Thursday.

Parents, friends, and community members are invited to the 6th-8th Grade Chorus and Band Concert at MJHS at 6:00pm on Tuesday, June 6th.

8th Grade Families: On Tuesday, June 6th, 8th graders will be given extra tickets to bring home for those who have already submitted a written request. We do have a limited number of tickets remaining for those students whose family have not yet asked for additional tickets, but they are first-come, first-serve and will require a written request.

Congratulations to both the MJHS Baseball and Softball teams for winning their Penquis League Championships on Saturday! Both teams finished the season undefeated!! Go Bobcats!!
