Today's tennis matches at Schenck will be moved up to a 3:00 start to try to beat the rain. If we get there and get warm-ups done quickly, it could even start a few minutes before 3:00. I don't want parents to go there and be surprised if they start early.
Wednesday, May 13th baseball and softball games against Stearns will be played at 3:00 at MA as we attempt to beat the rain that is coming late tomorrow afternoon and evening.
The weather wreaks havoc on spring sports, so here is today's update.

Today's tennis match at PCHS has been postponed. Even though it seems like a nice day here, they are expecting thunder showers all afternoon in Guilford and don't want us coming over there to sit in the rain and wait. They will be made up this Thursday.
Baseball and softball games vs. Houlton scheduled for today (Friday) have been postponed. The fields are way too wet from yesterday's heavy rain, and without sun and warmer weather, they are not going to dry enough by 4:00 to make them playable. No makeup date has been set yet.
Late addition to the schedule (although it was discussed as a possibilty with parents last night) our JV baseball team will play Bapst at Husson at 7:00. Bus leaves MA at 5:00.
The baseball exhibition game against Hermon scheduled for today, Wednesday April 15th, has been canceled due to wet field conditions.
MA Boys JV and Varsity games originally scheduled for Tuesday in Sumner, have been rescheduled for Monday January 19th. Times remain the same, with JV at 5:00 and Varsity at 6:30. Bus will leave at 2:45.
A few changes based on the anticipated messy weather tomorrow. All practices for Monday have been canceled. The wrestling tournament at Noble is not being changed or canceled, so in order for us to not lose that tournament and to get there safely, the wrestling team will leave tonight around 5:45.
Tomorrow's home wrestling meet will start 1 hour later to hopefully provide for some better travel for the visiting schools. Weigh ins will now be at 10 am and we plan on starting at 11 am.
Tomorrow night's girls games vs. Orono have been moved to an hour earlier. JV game will start at 4:00 and varsity will start at 5:30. With all the predicted rain, we want to get the games in and get everyone home before temperatures drop and roads could potentially get icy.
All after school activities are cancelled today, 12/10, due to the impending weather. This includes away trips to Calais for wrestling and GSA for girls basketball. Girls basketball will be made up on Tuesday 12/30 at 12:00 and 1:30.
Tomorrow night's girls game, at GSA, will be varsity only starting at 5:30. GSA suffered 3 injuries last night and their AD doesn't think any of them will be back. Like us, they have a lot of girls that play both JV and Varsity, so with these injuries, the JV game will not be able to happen. With only 1 game, Coach House and I decided if we could play a little earlier and get home earlier, that would be a positive thing.
There has been a change in the MA boys schedule. The home game originally scheduled for Jan. 8th has been moved to December 16th, still at 5:00 and 6:30. Sorry for the change...we had it on the 8th, Orono had it on the 9th, but our girls play on the 9th so we had to find a new date that works for both of us. The change has been made to the online schedule.

No JV game tomorrow against Lisbon. They only have 11 healthy players, so they can't travel 2 1/2 hours with no subs. Sorry for the late notice, I just found out today.
JV game on Monday at Husson has been changed to a 6:00 start. Bus time has been changed to 4:30 departure.
We were informed that Madison doesn't have enough kids for a JV team, so on Oct. 13 JV football will be traveling to Husson to play in a 3 team round-robin with John Bapst and Belfast. Game will be at 7:00. Bus will leave at 5:00.
Field Hockey makeup date for home game against Stearns is confirmed for Monday October 6 at 4:00.
After watching the weather all morning, it looks like we aren't going to avoid the heavy rain. Based on the weather forecast, golf and field hockey for today have been canceled. Golf will not be made up since the PVC championships are next week. Field hockey is scheduled to be made up on Monday Oct. 6, provided there are officials available that day. I will update all social media and websites once that date becomes finalized.
