The boys JV basketball tournament scheduled at Lee has been modified, the boys will play their first game on Saturday at 1:15 vs Penquis, the bus will leave MA at 12:15. There will be no games played on Friday, 2-7.

* The MA boys and girls varsity BB teams will travel to GSA on Tuesday, 1-4-20 The girls will play at 5:30 followed by the boys at 7:00. The bus departure has been moved up to 2:30. The JV contests vs GSA have been cancelled. We will not be traveling to GSA on Wednesday! *The MA boys games vs PCHS scheduled for Thursday, 1-6 have been rescheduled for Wednesday, 1-5. The JV will play at 5:30 followed by the varsity at 7:00 * We will recognizing the senior boys basketball players and cheerleaders on Wednesday. Please make note of the changes!

Congratulations to MA Wrestler Travis Mushero for attaining his 100th career win this weekend at the PVC championships held at MDI. Way to go Travis! The MA team finished 2nd in the competition, MA wrestlers Deegan Tidwell, Jackson Sutherland and Clyde Carr were crowned champions, Issac Hainer and Travis Mushero were runners up in their weight class. Alex Munson finished third and Kaleb Toby and Matt Russell finished 4th.

Congratulations to the MA cheerleaders for their 3rd place finish at the PVC cheer competition held at MA on Saturday January 18th. The MA cheerleaders will be attending the regionals on Saturday,January 25th at the Cross Center in Bangor. The girls will take the mats at 1:45.

There will be a community football meeting held in the MA Library on January 29th at 6:00, the meeting will be open to the public. The purpose is to discuss football's future for the entire community. Athletes and the families of all young people interested in the future of football are encouraged to attend the meeting. I look forward to seeing you there.

Mattanawcook Academy wrestler Jackson Sutherland is now a member of the schools 100 win club. The talented sophomore garnered his 100th career win at Dexter on Saturday. Congratulations Jackson on your amazing accomplishment, we are all very proud of you.

The MA girls basketball game at Sumner scheduled for Thursday, 1-16 has been postponed, the game will be made up on Friday, 1-17 at 5:00 at Sumner. The bus will leave MA at 2:15. The boys JV basketball game at Sumner on 1-17 has been cancelled, the Varsity boys will play at 6:30.

There is a two hour delay today, January 15th.
