The 2024 Ski Season has come to a close. We will be holding our ice cream social after school on Wednesday, March 20th, at 2:30 in the cafeteria. Please plan to bring your equipment to the social. If you are dropping off ski equipment before the social, please leave them near the front office and inform the office staff so we can keep track of who has returned their equipment. Thank you for a great season!
3/7/24: MJHS Families, There was a fire alarm at MJHS today at about 2:05pm. All students and staff evacuated the building safely, and we had to dismiss the first set of buses and walkers from outside due to the firefighters sweeping the building at that time. We apologize that some students had to leave before the building was cleared. Thankfully, the problem was identified as a faulty sensor, resulting in the building being cleared as safe to re-enter around 2:35pm. The remainder of dismissals will occur as usual, and parents may bring students back to the school to retrieve their belongings. Some bus and walking students may arrive home later than usual due to the necessary change in procedure. We appreciate the Lincoln Fire Department for their assistance and thank you all for your understanding.
3/7/24: Good morning, with some unexpected snow in the area this morning, please be advised that buses may run a little late. We want our students to arrive safely.
Ski Club Update for 3/9/24: Due to the lack of snow at the mountains we travel to in combination with warm temperatures and rain in the forecast for the nest few days, we will not have a ski trip on Saturday, March 9th. We hope to offer our last planned trip on 3/16/24 if one of these mountains has enough snow to be open and offer enough skiable terrain for our students. Coaches will be collecting equipment upon arrival at MJHS from the 3/16/24 trip or the week following. We're happy to have been able to offer as many ski trips as we have this year. Please email head ski instructor Ashton Carmichael, acarmichael@rsu67.org, with any questions.
3/4/24 MJHS Phone Update: You may now reach us by phone using 794-8935, so we're back to normal. Thank you for your patience!
3/1/24 MJHS Phone Update: We can answer external calls if you use 794-3309!
MJHS has been experiencing problems receiving incoming phone calls the afternoon and evening of February 29th, possibly due to weather conditions. We are working on fixing this problem, but if you are having trouble calling us on Friday, March 1st, you can reach us by emailing dphillips@rsu67.org and dyoung@rsu67.org beginning at 7:00am, and slabossiere@rsu67.org beginning at 7:30am. We are also trying our best to use caller ID to return phone calls we miss because we have been able to call out. We will update the repair progress on Friday, March 1st.
Due to the lack of snow at Big Moose Mountain in Greenville, we are moving our Saturday ski trip (3/2) to Big Rock in Mars Hill. Please be prepared to sign the Big Rock waiver when you drop off your student at MJHS on Saturday. The price for this trip is still $25. The bus will leave at 9 am and return around 6 pm. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Ashton Carmichael at acarmichael@rsu67.org
UPDATE: We are currently experiencing phone issues. If you have repeatedly tried to call and your call gets dropped, we are trying to call back. You can send me an email at dphillips@rsu67.org and I will take care of your yearbook order. My apologies for the difficulties. Dolly

Due to the lack of snow at Mt. Jefferson, we are moving our Saturday ski trip (2/24) to Big Rock in Mars Hill.
The Yearbook Club is happily gathering pictures of all things MJHS. If you have attended a sporting event or a musical event that involves MJHS students, and have taken pictures that you would like to share with the possibility of them being in the yearbook, please email them to me at dphillips@rsu67.org. I will gladly take a look and see what I can use.
I'm especially looking for softball/baseball/track pictures from last year. Due to deadlines we have to use last year's pictures. As this is my first year as the advisor, I didn't take pictures of last year's teams. Please do share this request to your friends if you know their child played sports last year!
Thanks
Dolly
