Mattanawcook Jr. High School

MJHS 6th-8th graders will be signing up before the end of the day on Friday, 10/21/22 to express interest in basketball and cheering for those winter seasons. (Skiing and wrestling will be at a later time.) We want parents to know that in addition to the child signing up at school, parents need to login to Family ID at https://www.familyid.com/mattanawcook-rsu-no-67/mjhs-winter-2022-2023-athletics-registration] to register their child. You will still need to register them for basketball or cheering even if they played a fall sport. Please be careful to choose MJHS and not Mattanawcook Academy. If your child is in need of a physical, you will receive an email. Tryout schedules will be forthcoming, but our athletic director has given a deadline of 10/31/22 for all sports paperwork to be completed.

The MJHS Soccer playoff games scheduled for tomorrow, 10/18 have been rescheduled for Thursday, 10/20. The boys will play at Sedomocha on 10/20 at 3:00. The bus departs at 1:00. The girls will play at home vs Penobscot Christian on 10/20 at 3:30.

MJHS Late Bus: We are happy to announce that there will be a regularly scheduled 3:30pm late bus for MJHS students Monday through Thursday for those students who sign up in the main office by noon each day they want to ride. We are so thankful for our bus drivers, transportation scheduler, and facilities director for making this possible!

Today's MJHS Football game vs Orono at UMO is still on for 4:00. The bus will leave at 2:00.

Congratulations to the MJHS Boys Soccer team on their playoff win yesterday! Their next game will be on Tuesday, October 18th at Sedomocha at 3:00.

The MJHS Girls Soccer Semi-final playoff game will be on Tuesday, October 18th at 3:30 vs Penobscot Christian. The game will be at MJHS.

The MJHS Boys Soccer team will host Warsaw tomorrow, Thursday October 13th at 3:30 for the play-in round of the playoffs. If they win that game they would be going to Sedomocha on Tuesday, October 18th for the semi-finals.

Hello Families: Today @ 11:00 there was a fire alarm sounded at the Junior High. It was due to a faulty alarm, which has been identified and being replaced. The fire department responded and cleared the building. All is resuming.

The MJHS Soccer games at Penobscot Christian today are being played at Calvary Chapel in Orrington.

Today's MJHS Football game vs Athens has been canceled.

The MJHS football team will host the Athens Junior High Football team on Monday, October 3rd at 4:00 at Mattanawcook Academy.

Students who received a COVID vaccine today have been given their COVID vaccination card to take home with them. Please note, students who will be receiving their second round, their cards have been kept here and will be sent home with them when their second dosage has been given.

Today's junior high football game at Bucksport has been canceled. There will be no junior high football practice today either.

The MJHS soccer games at Penobscot Christian will be made up on Tuesday, October 4th at 3:30 and 4:45. The girls play first. Just a reminder that those games will be played at the Calvary Chapel School in Orrington.

The Cross Country meet at Veazie has been canceled and there is no make up information at this time. There will be no cross country practice today either.

Today's MJHS Soccer Games vs Sedomocha have been postponed until, Monday 9/26 at 3:30/4:45. There will be no practice today for: Football, Boys and Girls Soccer and Golf. The Cross Country meet at Veazie is still on as of right now.
