MJHS Basketball Schedule update: The "A" and "B" team basketball games scheduled for 11/17 vs Sedomocha have been switched to 11/22 same times, order and locations.

Good luck to the MJHS Boys Soccer team in their championship game today vs. All Saints! The game will be played at the Union Street Complex in Bangor at 3:30. The Union Street Complex is next to the Job Corps in Bangor.

Reminder, winter sports (cheering and basketball - grades 6th - 8th) start up on Monday, October 31st here at MJHS. The winter sports parent meeting is tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the MJHS gymnasium. This meeting is for parents of any student interested in doing basketball or cheering. Students are invited but not required to attend. The meeting should conclude by 7:00 p.m.

Get ready for Picture Day! Reminder MJHS Picture Day is this Friday, October 28th. We have attached a flyer from Jostens for your viewing that contains the event code and important information to help get your pictures ordered once they are taken.

Unfortunately, the 6th grade field trip to MOEP on Monday, 10/24/22 has been cancelled due to weather conditions. The 7th graders are still going on their trip to Kieve.

Congratulations to our boys and girls soccer teams for winning their semi-final playoff games yesterday!! Way to go!! Here is the championship game information: MJHS Girls Soccer at Sedomocha tomorrow, 10/22 at 11:00 am, the bus departs at 9:00. MJHS Boys Soccer vs All Saints at the Union Street Complex in Bangor at 3:30 on Friday, October 28th. The bus will depart at 1:30.

MJHS students will have Fall Fest on Friday, 10/21/22. They will find out their activities on Thursday, 10/20/22. We ask that families encourage them to wear appropriate clothing to be comfortable participating, which may be outside.

Good luck to our boys and girls soccer teams today as they play in our league semi-finals. The boys are at Sedomocha at 3:00 and the girls host Penobscot Christian at 3:30. #GoBobcats!

The MJHS Winter Sports Parent Information Meeting will be on Wednesday, October 26th at 6:00 in the MJHS Gym. This is for parents of kids in grades 6-8 interested in doing basketball or cheering.

The junior high Inland Championship Cross Country meet is still on at MA today. The first race is at 4:15. We ask that everyone stay off the football field. Spectators make sure you bring your boots!

The MOEP Trip for 5th grade has been postponed for today due to inclement weather. We are currently looking to reschedule at a later date. Have a great day!

MJHS 6th-8th graders will be signing up before the end of the day on Friday, 10/21/22 to express interest in basketball and cheering for those winter seasons. (Skiing and wrestling will be at a later time.) We want parents to know that in addition to the child signing up at school, parents need to login to Family ID at https://www.familyid.com/mattanawcook-rsu-no-67/mjhs-winter-2022-2023-athletics-registration] to register their child. You will still need to register them for basketball or cheering even if they played a fall sport. Please be careful to choose MJHS and not Mattanawcook Academy. If your child is in need of a physical, you will receive an email. Tryout schedules will be forthcoming, but our athletic director has given a deadline of 10/31/22 for all sports paperwork to be completed.

The MJHS Soccer playoff games scheduled for tomorrow, 10/18 have been rescheduled for Thursday, 10/20. The boys will play at Sedomocha on 10/20 at 3:00. The bus departs at 1:00. The girls will play at home vs Penobscot Christian on 10/20 at 3:30.

MJHS Late Bus: We are happy to announce that there will be a regularly scheduled 3:30pm late bus for MJHS students Monday through Thursday for those students who sign up in the main office by noon each day they want to ride. We are so thankful for our bus drivers, transportation scheduler, and facilities director for making this possible!
