Practice changes due to wet field conditions: A baseball, A softball and B softball are cancelled. B baseball is on the gym for pitchers and catchers only. Track is on as scheduled.

Today's A team baseball and softball games at Central have been postponed and are rescheduled for Wednesday at 4pm. GO BOBCATS!

Tomorrow's, Tuesday April 22, B Softball practice has been cancelled. There will be practice for B Softball on Wednesday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. There are no other changes to any of the other teams. Please share the message.

With the early dismissal of RSU #67 due to the incoming weather, all after school activities are cancelled. The baseball and softball tryouts for today have been rescheduled for Friday, 4/11 at the same times they were scheduled for today. Please refer to the practice schedule on the website for details. Due to incoming snow, RSU 67 will be dismissing at 11:30 am today, April 8. The all call system will be sending out the announcement at 8:15 am today as well. Thank you.

Schools are required by law, to test their fire alert systems regularly. This is done by an outside source and they set the schedule. MJHS tested our fire alert system this morning. Students did briefly evacuate and returned to the building. The fire department responded, but there is no emergency or fire.

Last night the Mattanawcook Junior High wrestling team went to Ridgeview for the Penquis league championship, and came away as TEAM CHAMPIONS! The Bobcats represented the school with class and pride only losing three matches all day. Leo Harmon (98) pinned all of his opponents earning the championship medal. Daigen Botting (104) controlled the pace and went all out, beating all of his opponents earning the championship medal. Carson Tash (110) showed finesse and technicality on the mat, he finished all of his opponents earning a championship medal. Bennett Libbey (116) finished his first opponent quickly earning a spot in the championship round. It was an all out grudge match with a very tough opponent. Bennett pushed the pace all three periods, only losing by 1 point. He earned 2nd for the Bobcats. Ethan Friend (122) represented the school with class earning 1st place and a championship medal. Cameron Thompson (128) shocked the crowd being a first year wrestler. Demonstrating athleticism and grit, he earned a second place medal. Jaxon Connors (148) had a stellar performance. Finishing his first match with a tech fall he battled hard in the championship round earning a 2nd place medal. Damien James showed the 150 class what MJHS wrestling is all about. Pinning his opponent quickly he earned a championship medal. Cash Albert (172) was a force on the mat never giving up he came back for a victory earning a championship medal. Michael Donahue (205) returned to the mat in fashion. He dominated the mat earning a championship medal. Mason Loman (245) finished the show with Bobcat’s pride. Pinning his final opponent he finished with a championship medal. GO BOBCATS!

Blue Middle School Athletics. Athletic Trainer Heather Mitchell will be on site for the day The only parts of the building open for this tournament are the gym and cafeteria, please make sure that your children do not wander into other parts of the building.
